FOUNDER STORY
Raised in Oakland, CA, Tamu Curtis grew up in a home where food was a love language and authenticity was everything. Her mother, a San Francisco school administrator who also spent some time as a caterer, always created beautiful relish trays, cheese boards, and charcuterie spreads for the family, whether for watching football games or celebratory dinners. Caviar was always a part of the spread. Those early moments taught Tamu that quality ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and genuine hospitality matter, shaping her palate and her affection for caviar.
Tamu began her career in Los Angeles as a marketing executive before following her entrepreneurial instinct into multiple ventures, including Trademarked PR and The Cocktailery. Whether she was developing barware collections, merchandising for the retail store, instructing hands-on mixology classes, or producing immersive culinary events, she remained committed to sourcing exceptional ingredients and products, creating experiences that felt genuine and beautifully human.
La Pearle' Caviar is a natural evolution of that philosophy. Inspired by her early love of caviar, Tamu created La Pearle to offer a modern, elevated, and sincere approach to caviar enjoyment. She is deeply committed to sourcing sustainably harvested caviar from responsible farms around the world, understanding that protecting these remarkable species is essential for future generations. Every tasting, roaming caviar host or tasting bar reflects her devotion to refined presentation and products that tell the story through their flavor and origin. Through La Pearle', Tamu continues to create experiences that are accessible, memorable, and rooted in genuine hospitality.
